Our Core Privacy Principles

100% On-Device Processing

3D OpenGL ES live graphics, app indexing, desktop layout customization, and search indexing occur strictly locally on your device without third-party servers.

Zero Personal Data Collection

We do not collect, transmit, harvest, or sell your personal files, browsing activity, installed app lists, or search queries to any remote servers or advertising networks.

Secure Google Play Billing

All optional VIP subscription and lifetime purchases are processed directly and securely by Google Play Billing. We never receive or store your financial details.

Offline Music & Media

The built-in 3D music player and wallpaper engine access your local storage files only to render them on your screen and play them on your device.

In-App Purchases & Subscriptions (Google Play Billing)

Launcher2AI offers optional VIP digital upgrades (such as monthly, annual, or lifetime VIP access for full 3D animated backgrounds, advanced transitions, and custom icon studios):

  • Payment Processing: All purchase transactions, subscription renewals, and billing events are processed exclusively through Google Play In-App Billing (Google LLC) via the com.android.vending.BILLING permission.
  • Financial Data Privacy: We do not collect, process, access, or store your payment details, credit/debit card numbers, banking details, or billing addresses. Payment information is handled entirely by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Purchase Verification & Restore: We use standard Google Play Billing purchase tokens to verify your VIP entitlement and allow you to restore purchases across your devices linked to the same Google account.
  • Trial Management: A non-personal device hardware identifier is generated locally to manage free VIP trial eligibility and prevent abuse. This identifier is never transmitted to any external analytics server.
  • Subscription Management & Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your active subscription at any time directly through your Android device under Google Play Store > Profile > Payments & Subscriptions > Subscriptions.

Android Permissions We Request & Purpose

To provide a full-featured home launcher, custom widgets, and 3D audio playback experience, Launcher2AI requests access to the following Android system permissions:

  • Installed Apps (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES / LauncherApps): Required for core Android launcher functionality to discover, categorize, display, and launch installed applications on your home screen and 3D app drawer. This app inventory is processed purely in memory on your device and is never uploaded or shared.
  • Google Play Billing (com.android.vending.BILLING): Used to offer optional VIP digital purchases and subscriptions securely through Google Play.
  • Network State (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Used solely to verify internet connectivity when communicating with Google Play Billing servers for purchase verification and restoration.
  • Audio Storage Access (READ_MEDIA_AUDIO & READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Used solely by the built-in 3D music player to scan and play local MP3/audio files from your device folders (e.g., Music, Downloads).
  • Photos & Media Access (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES): Used solely to allow you to choose and set custom background wallpapers from your device photo gallery.
  • Set Wallpaper (SET_WALLPAPER & SET_WALLPAPER_HINTS): Used to apply custom home and lock screen wallpapers and enable wallpaper parallax scrolling effects.
  • Home Screen Widgets (BIND_APPWIDGET): Used to allow you to place, configure, and interact with native Android widgets on your home screen.
  • Notification Listener Access (BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE): Used to display unread badge counts on app icons and render live track metadata (title, artist, album art) on the 3D rotating vinyl widget when media is playing. No notification text or message contents are ever recorded, saved, or uploaded.
  • System Gestures & Haptics (EXPAND_STATUS_BAR & VIBRATE): Used for quick swipe gestures to pull down notifications and provide tactile haptic feedback during desktop interactions.

No Third-Party Trackers, Analytics, or Advertising

Launcher2AI contains no third-party advertising SDKs, tracking libraries, or marketing analytics tools. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share user information with data brokers or advertising networks.

Data Retention & Deletion

Because Launcher2AI does not maintain user accounts, cloud databases, or remote tracking servers, we retain zero personal data. All user preferences, grid layouts, and color customizer settings are stored in Android's private application sandbox. Uninstalling the app permanently purges all local settings from your device.

Children's Privacy (COPPA & Families Policy Compliance)

Launcher2AI does not collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The app is completely safe for all audiences and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play Families Policy requirements.
